Our story

Lýsir ehf. was founded in 2017 by Pétur Hrafnsson and Rafal, based on Pétur's philosophy. That philosophy or values are based on several fundamental facts:

• Knowledge is power, experience is invaluable, and sharing both puts us as a company in the driver's seat in our field. We have achieved a strong market position in everything related to fiber optics and have been for several years, the company is well-known and enjoys great trust from customers.
  
  One of our long-term goals at Lýsir has been to penetrate the data center market. The past year has been eventful in that arena, and with Lýsir's core values as our guiding principle, we have worked our way into that market without compromising service or personal relationships with the customers who have been with us since the beginning.
  
  Since the beginning of 2022, Lýsir's operations and operating environment have undergone a turnaround. Since then, CEO Pétur has hand-picked employees to work for the company, building them up with knowledge and connecting them with suppliers and customers. We can therefore say with some pride that we have managed to build a team that can pick up the slack if someone falls off the wagon, and we are always ready to add to the group to further strengthen the company's operations when and where appropriate.
  
  Today, Lýsir is a rapidly growing and powerful company with extensive knowledge of everything related to fiber optics and related products, backup power, as well as infrastructure and data center planning.
